Question by Yue Xu: High School Law unpaid internship in Houston?
I’m a high school sophomore with knowledge of computer programming and experience as a receptionist at Back to Balance Chiropractic Clinic. I don’t care if I’m paid or not. I just want the experience in a law firm because I want to major in law. I’m in the top ten(not percent) of my class holding office in various clubs/activites. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks so much.

Answer by CkBusiness19 www.craigslist.org usually has some internships posted in the legal/paralegal field of the respective city’s job section.
Also, call around to law offices. There are many that would be willing to allow you to intern, because it is free and legal cheap labor.

Question by sam: Do you have to be at a top law school to work at a high paying, large law firm after graduation?
It seems that all of them went to an Ivy league school.
Best answer:
Answer by HeartofFire No, you simply must be at the top of your class at whatever law school you attend. However, there are many lawfirms that prefer or only hire for certain schools, either because their partners are alumis there or because they have had better success with graduates from certain schools.
Question by Ryan Long: What classes should I take in high school to work in the front office of the MLB?
I am 14 and a freshman. I have a study hall this year that next year I want to replace with a class. I want to work in the MLB front office. I have the option of taking either Personal Finances 1 or Business Law or keyboarding. Which one would help me the most. And should I major in sports management in college?
Best answer:
Answer by Curious_Yank_in_South_Korea I assume MLB is Major League Baseball. Your high school credits won’t mean squat to the MLB, but your vast knowledge of baseball and picking out talent is. Even with that, a college degree in P.E., Physical Therapy, or management would be great attributes to put on your resume`.

Question by ArtofPimp: What is the best path to take after high school to become a coporate lawyer?
What are the classes I should focus on and take?
Do I need to go to college and/or university then a lawyer school for the bar exam.
Anything along that line would be great to know.

Answer by huskerrickinfl You’ll need to go to college. Get your undergrad in English (it helps build communication skills useful for lawyers), get your graduate degree from a Law School, then get hired at a firm that practices corporate law.
