Question by : I hired a lawyer to expunge my disorderly person offense. After its expunged I will be able to buy firearms?
I used to live in NJ and applied for a firearms permit and got denied because of my one offense. I live in PA now. Hired a lawyer and he will expunge my record. After that I should be able to buy firearms?
For the jerkoffs with their stupid comments, it was a drug possession charge. I did not hurt anyone. Made one mistake in life and I dont have to explain it to you fools.

Humanities Courses :

- history ( european history, us history, etc, etc )
- law
- english courses ( be it literature, ap, honors, etc )
- forensic science would be a bonus
- math ( just because i don’t think you can do anything with out it )

This is about the ‘May day melee’ in Los Angeles where a lot of protesters came to Mac Arthur Park to demand rights for latinos and illegal immigrants, and police cleared the park usind mild force after people refused to leave and some agitators threw bottles.

I find it quite objectionnable that people who are not even supposed to be here (illegal immigrants) are allowed to gather and protest. But also what seems wrong is that I hear some are filing a lawsuit about police ‘brutality’ etc
I am not a lawyer but this seems frivolous, unethical and or possibly illegal. Can a lawyer be disbarred from doing this?
Can a lawyer continue to work on the case if he learns the plaintiff is illegal? Anyone knows these law-ethics details?

If human rights have been violated, a lawyer could probably represent an illegal immigrant and win.

Question by Alex: When a school searches you can you refuse to comply until you speak with a parent or lawyer?
I know that a school can search you or your belongings without probable cause. All they need is reasonable cause. But i was wondering if you told them that you refuse to comply with them until you speak with a lawyer or parent if they could do anything. Isn’t it a persons right to a fair trial with legal representation? Thank you for answering.

It may depend on what forms you and your parents sign at enrollment. (such as the computer usage rules etc.) Also sometimes it doesn’t seem like juveniles have as many rights as adults. But I just recently heard of a school that strip searched a girl and it sounded like they raped her, at least I think she has long lasting feelings of being violated. So yes, tell them you want a parent and a lawyer present! They may kick you out either way. But like I would tell my kids, you shouldn’t have anything in your car, locker, or on your person that you shouldn’t have!

A lawyer began a case & made a court date without my spoken or written permission.
I have now received a bill from the ‘Kosteneinziehungstelle der Justiz’.
I hope that the lawyer will recognize his incorrect action.
Especially if I prepare him for the possibility of his actions being reported.

Depends on which city you are in and if there is a Rechtsanwaltskammer/Attorney chamber . There you can officially file a complaint against the lawyer and also call the kosteneinziehungstelle to talk to them about the costs and alert them about the lawyer actions.

I have a graduate degree from US and I am on F1 OPT valid till Oct 07. I accepted offer from a software consulting firm: company A in March 07 and they filed for my H1b which got approved. They have provided me receipt number but not given a copy of approval notice. Company A has not put me on a project so far and I am not on their payroll. Now I have offer for a full time position from software company B. I am looking for a lawyer to help me with the transfer H1b and negotiate end of contract with Company A. How do I select suitable immigration lawyer? Can anyone recommend a lawyer who has actually worked on a case like this? Do you know any good lawyers that will give a free consultation and tell whether they know anything about handling a case like this before any paid consultation? Location of the lawyer within US does not matter to me.

The lawyer added a provision to the clients will that was a scholorship endowment for the clients alma mater. The clerk at the lawyers office congradulated the client while out to lunch with guests and broke the privacy portion of the bill of rights. The client is demanding a full refund for the provision.
i want to know the common need that is shared between the lawyer and client because that is supposed to be my central theme for the paper i have to write.

I don’t think lawyers are allowed to legally marry anyone- do you mean judge?

You might want to look into getting a new officiant. Most people who perform weddings come prepared with what they are supposed to say.
