5 cops went into my house without permission or a warrant and i want to press charges, who is the best lawyer to contact?

I would contact the Wisconsin Bar Association at (608) 257-3838. They should be able to provide a referral to a lawyer who is an expert in this area or, at minimum, point you in the right direction.

Question by S_Monkey: what law says that you cannot honk a horn at police, when he stops @ the left turn only signal turns green?
I am more interest in the California area!!

You just explained one of the reasons that REAL law officials (those from other nations and American states) have a patronizing attitude towards those from the state of California. Simply lay this incident in the dust where it belongs, and move on to more important things and people.

Question by º¤ø¤º: Who do you complain to when you have proof that the police advised someone to break the law?
There is this police officer in my town who advised a person to do something illegal against me. I have the proof of what the officer said and did.
I can’t complain to the sheriff’s office because they’re taking the cop’s side (obviously).
There is no “internal affairs” that I know of and the police wouldn’t tell me where/how to go about filling a complaint anyway.
The crime commited is a serious one (stalking). The police had no discression. By law they were forced to arrest this person. They refused. (I found out later that the police were the ones who told this person to do what they did).
So… what do I do? I don’t want to let this go.

I can’t contact the media because they are extremely pro law enforcement here.

If you cannot go to the police supervisor (above their head), then you have two options. Go to the district attorney (prosecutor).
Or file a civil lawsuit against the officer in court.

Answer by Mr Warrior
Police stations are open every day and welcome criminals who want to turn themselves in.
They dont have to make a day for it. They are welcome any day of the week.
Preferably if they have already handcuffed themselves and written out a list of their crimes.

Question by Jackie Retardo: How come police do not have to go to law school?
I work at an attorneys office, and deal with law ignorant cops all the time, how is it that they have the authority to enforce something they know very little about?
Best answer:
Answer by Lex
Because they’re not lawyers. They are the hall monitors bringing the kids behaving badly to the principals office and the Principal decides their punishment. They also put their lives in jeopardy on a daily basis and I, for one, thank them for taking lowlifes who could impact negatively on the safety of myself and my family off of the streets.
