Question by Michelle: Working for a law firm with a co-worker?
You were coming and leaving at the same time everyday, you eat lunch with your co-worker and neither one of you work on the weekends. But you noticed that your co-worker reported working 2-3 hours a day more than you. What should you do? And what options does the law firm have?

Question by Dora: Are the people working at Abercrombie allowed to ask a customer out?
I worked in a law office for a while. This sort of thing was strictly prohibited and considered inappropriate conduct.
But I would think Abercrombie, being a clothes store, has a less strict environment. Teenagers not only work there but shop there as well. If…say, a girl customer flirts continuously with a guy working there, can he flirt back? Can he ask her out?
I wonder what the terms and conditions of their contract say about it.

yeah of course. people who work at hollister, abercrombie, etc. are told to flirt with guys. theres nothing wrong in it.
people at law offices cant get involved with their customers because it affects the work. (ie. the judgement doesnt come out fair for example if they were to end badly) but with people in just clothing stores… it doesnt make a differene

Can’t tell ya since I don’t know what city and state you are from. It varies greatly (like any other job). Bonuses are iffy…a firm by firm thing. But hey, it’s a bonus! something is better than nothing. BTW Nice avatar!

I know “pro bono” means free, but I had heard that some companies still pay them something for taking on some “pro bono” cases. Also, I wondered if they could claim it on their taxes.

teach your boss simple survival skills so he/she can be more self sufficient. request they send you emails rather than interrupting you with tasks all the time. have weekly meetings to streamline the work load and priorities. if all else fails, fina a new job. there are plenty of great attorneys to work for that will work you hard but give you the time and space to let you play hard too! good luck!
